  • What is Piximash?

    Piximash is an internet platform, that is aimed at putting everything you want on the web at your finger tips. It’s All about YOU, your community, everything you love and search for everyday. We’re focusing on connecting you with your friends and family from various communities, while simultaneously delivering news, business, sports, fashion, entertainment content, plus so much more from around the web for you to peruse and effortlessly share with everyone.   • Is Piximash really free?

    Answer:

    Yes! You’ll never ever, ever have to pay to access Piximash, ever.

  • Is there an age restriction to joining Piximash?

    Answer:

    Yes. The safety of our users is of utmost importance to us. While the minority standards vary around the world, we have a set a minimum age restriction to 13 years of age.

  • How do I sign up for Piximash?

    Answer:

    Go to the sign-up page and fill out the form. Once you’ve filled out the first sign up page, an email will automatically be sent to the email address you entered (Please remember to check your spam/junk box as well). You should then continue to fill out the sign-up form so additional information can be added to your account.

  • What are the guidelines for creating a password ?

    Answer:

    Your password has to be at least 7 characters long. It should have a combination of at least 1 capital letter, numbers, and symbols (no quotes, commas, semicolons, or colons allowed). Just remember the more complex you make it, the more secure it is. But don’t forget it.

  • Why didn't I receive a verification code when signing up for an account?

    Answer:

    Occasionally the Verification Code ends up in your Spam/Junk mail having been identified as Spam by your email settings. Check your Spam/Junk mail; it could be there.

  • How do I log into my Piximash account?

    Answer:

    Go to the login page and click on the ‘Login’ button at the top right of the screen. Enter your username and password and click the pink ‘Login’ button in the popup.

  • How do I log out of my Piximash account?

    Answer:

    Once you click on My.Details, My.Relationships, My.Storyboards, or My.Media, go to the bottom left of the page and click on the icon labeled "Menu", then click ‘Sign Out’.

  • How do I reset my password?

    Answer:

    On the login page, click the ‘Login’ button then click the "Forgot Login" button. Enter your email or username and click ‘Get New Password’. A link to reset your password will be sent to your email (if you don’t see it, check your spam/junk mail).

  • How do I change my password?

    Answer:

    Login to Piximash and go to My.Details, then to Account ID. Enter your new password in the ‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm Password’ fields, then, click the ‘Update’ button.

  • What is My.Storyboard?

    Answer:

    ‘My.Storyboard’ is effectively your timeline where you can post updates for all your friends to view unless you set your privacy setting, to Private.

  • What is My.Media?

    Answer:

    Piximash allows you to upload images and organize them in Albums that can be individually named. You can also comment on an image you’ve uploaded and it will post in your Storyboard for friends to see. Each individual image you upload can be privacy protected.

  • I think my account has been hacked. What do I do?

    Answer:

    Go to the login page and reset your password by clicking on the ‘Login’ button in the top right of the screen, and then clicking on ‘Forgot Password’. If your email has been hacked, please contact your email provider.

  • Finding Friends on Piximash

  • How do I find friends on Piximash?

    Answer:

    Throughout the Piximash site you can enter a “Username” or a full name into the Search bar, or you can click on My.Relationships to go to the Find People section, and use the search field.

  • How do I make sure my friends can find me on Piximash?

    Answer:

    To ensure you are searchable on Piximash, use your full name as a Username.

  • How do I remove or delete a friend from my account?

    Answer:

    Go to My.Relationships. Place your curser over the user you want to delete. Drag ‘n Drop the user you want to delete on top of your profile pic. When the menu box appears, you have the option to “Cancel Friendship”. You can also click on the friend’s profile pick and then ‘Cancel Friendship’.

  • How to Post & Share

  • How do I share a status or other content on Piximash?

    Answer:

    You have a variety of ways to post your content on Piximash.
  • Go to My.Storyboard, click on ‘Write a Story’ and simply update your status by entering in your message and click Send.
  • Go to My.Relationships, Drag ‘n Drop a friend onto your profile pic and send a private message.
  • Go to My. Relationships, click on Compose and start to type in a username. Piximash will use text recognition and populate the box with suggestions. Choose your friend and send a private message.
  • Go to My.Relationships, click on Members, Drag ‘n Drop a member onto your profile pic and send a private message.
  • Go to My.Media and upload/edit an image, or comment on one of your friends.
  • How do I connect with Facebook and Twitter in my Private Messaging for two- way conversation?

    Answer:

    Go to My.Relationships and hover your curser over “Add Network”. Select the network you’d like to add. You can also disconnect your social network by going to your respective social network’s administration panel and remove the Piximash app.

  • How do I mention other people in a post?

    Answer:

    You can tag your friends in posts by typing ‘@’ and their username (example: @Piximash).

  • Who can mention me?

    Answer:

    Any one can mention you in a post.

  • When I share something, how do I choose who can see it?

    Answer:

  • Go to My.Details to set your privacy setting to Private, or Public.
  • Go to My.Media. Before uploading an image to your Album section you can set the privacy setting for the individual image to either be Public, Registered Member, Only Friends or Private.
  • How do I turn on/off Notifications?

    Answer:

    Go to My Details. Click on Notifications and select your preferences.

  • Where can I see my friends' birthdays?

    Answer:

    Click on a friends profile picture and their profile will come up with their date of birth.

  • Will you be putting ads on the site?

    Answer:

    Our focus is on building the best user experience possible. We believe we can accomplish this by utilizing a business model that does not detract from your engagement with your friends and family. We are working on variations of our model to ensure your satisfaction while using Piximash. We welcome your feedback as well to continually improve on the site.

  • What is your stance on Cyberbullying?

    Answer:

    The principals at Piximash are firmly against Cyberbullying. While the complexities of Cyberbullying are ultimately ruled on and enforced by law, Piximash will make every effort to report this type of activity to the enforcement agencies. We strongly encourage you to contact us, or your local authorities should you witness what you believe to be Cyberbullying on this site.

  • FAQ’s relating to the Piximash Discover Feed

  • How does Piximash Discover determine what to show me?

    Answer:

    Nobody’s feed is the same. The Piximash team is continuing to innovate on a system that changes to show content based upon what you view, while sprinkling the feed with a limited amount of topics that you might find interesting. The goal is that you’ll be able to truly discover great content that fits who you are, as opposed to pushing content in front of you that you have no interest in.

  • Can I view posts from specific friends in my Discover News Feed?

    Answer:

    No. Posts from your friends can be viewed in your Storyboard.

  • How do I send articles in Discover to my friends?

    Answer:

    You can make your ‘Sharing Settings’ Auto or Manual. If your settings are set to Auto, then all you have to do is click on an article and it will automatically be added to your friends archive folder. If your settings are set to Manual, then you’ll need to click on the Share icon within an article.

  • I don't see my favorite publication on Piximash Discover. How do I get it?

    Answer:

    You can locate your favorite publication by browsing categories.

  • Can I bookmark my favorite publications on Piximash Discover?

    Answer:

    Same as above

  • Why would I connect to Facebook and Twitter from my account?

    Answer:

    Connecting to your existing other social networks puts all of your communities in one place and minimizes your need to jump from one network to the other.

    Answer:

    Click on the comment icon.

  • How do I download the App for my cell phone or iPad?

    Answer:

    We want to make things as simple as possible, so we automated the process. All you have to do is go to www.Piximash.me from your mobile device.

  • If I am outside of the United States can I access Piximash?

    Answer:

    Yes!

  • How do I delete my account?

    Answer:

    To delete your account, simply login to Piximash, Click on My.Details, Click on "Delete Account" and follow the link to “Delete my Account”. We are constantly working on the site to bring you an experience that keeps you engaged and informed. If you have any suggestions for how we can make it better please let us know.
